Uh ... *looks around* nope, still looks like Toronto, Ontario, Canada to me ...
SPACE is airing Farscape here, and they are just about to start showing season 2.
I even said in brackets that i'm waiting Canadian TV to show SG-1 beyond season 3.
What made you think i'm watching in the US? All these shows (well, except Jeremiah which i get on tapes) show in Canada on cable, pay and sattelite TV.
And Com, about Buffy:
I'm going to adjust what you wrote abit ...
"I can't for the life of me see what is so good about Babylon 5. I have just seen about 5 episodes, but that was quiet enought thank you. Bad writing, bad acting, mindstageringly silly stuff and Aliens that look more plain stupid than fearsome."
That is what your statement is equivalent to from my point of view /ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif .
Buffy is alot like Babylon 5. If you want to do the show justice, start at the first episode and let it run.
Just keep in mind the show's season 1 is weaker compared to the rest of the series, then B5's season1 is compared to the rest of the series. Unlike B5, which got really strong by the end of season 1 already, Buffy doesn't until about 1/3 though season 2.
Btw, the show is no more about Vampires then B5 is about 4 embassadors in a tin can in space all trying to out-scam each other. Sure the Vampires are always there, but they are metaphors, and they are not the primary focus of the show. Buffy Summers and her friends' journey through life is the primary focus of the show.
Try watching to the end of season 2, and if you still don't like the show after seing the 2 parter season 2 finale, then you just don't like it. But please don't judge it on 5 episodes. that wouldn't be fair to the show. Just like judging B5 on 5 episodes wouldn't be fair either.
No Buffy isn't *quite* as good as B5, but it comes really close.
