What font is used in the post I'm typing right now? Is there any way to get symbols to show up? For instance, I wanted to type the triple bar "equals" symbol (can't remember what it's called), and it shows up like this:

º

Is there no way to get symbols to show up correctly here?

In a word... no. :) The font here is Verdana... if you change your character map to Verdana, everything in there should be pretty fair game.

Aw, hell.

You had to make it a challenge. ;)

There is a way to put non-standard symbols in posts/web pages, using HTML 4.0 entities or Unicode. The only problem is that currently only Office XP carries a full Unicode font. Entities are generally safe to use however. I made a posting utility for another forum that makes inserting entities easier.

Edit: Unfortunately, they don't seem to work in these forums. Oh well. :(
