DreamWorks buys "Voices from the Dead"

Word came out yesterday that DreamWorks has bought the above script from JMS and is looking around for a driector and stars. JMS will also Executive Produce the project.

Based on a real-life friendship between Arthur Conan Doyle and Harry Houdini, the screenplay is a fictional account of them teaming up to solve a set of murders.

I can't imagine such a premise, but there is a newly revived interest in Sherlock Holmes movies. It might stimulate some interest.

Yes, Hypatia. At least until we can 'ask [JMS about more B5] after April'.

And I think there's something happening with the Apocalypse Al project....and he's spec-ing a script based on "Rising Stars"...and he's got some TV irons in the fire, I think, and no doubt there are a dozen things we won't hear about until they're sold...'cause that's what JMS does.

And that is nice. Nothing is ever certain until you are watching it on the screen, but he certainly isn't in a rush to get news out, at the cost of credibility.
