Director Robert Wise dead

He was so versitile that he directed every sort of film from West Side Story, to Star Trek, The Motion Picture. He directed several of my favorite films, Blood On the Moon, Born To Kill, The Day The Earth Stood Still, and many more. He edited Citizen Kane. Sad to see him go.

Yea, I read about that this morning. Man, what a career he had.

He'll be missed.

I heard it on my car radio from NPR while on my way to work on Thursday morning.

I also liked "The Sand Pebbles," "Run Silent Run Deep" and "The Andromeda Strain."

The Desert Rats, a WWII film, was a great favorite of mine when I was a kid.

I remember it well. James Mason as Rommel virsus Richard Burton as a Scottish Captain with ANZAC troops at Tobruk.
