Captain Matthew Gideon stood on a dead world with Galen at his side.
Galen looked around a bit and finally spoke, "We should go."
"I agree," Gideon said.
"There are good planets and there are bad planets. There are healthy planets and there are--"
"Yes, I've heard."
"Good. Then let us be off."
Gideon and Galen made their way back to the shuttle.
* * * * *
Gideon stepped off the shuttle onto the flight deck of the Excalibur. Galen was gone. Typical.
He returned to his quarters, unsuccessful at finding any useful information to help cure the Drakh virus.
He rushed to the Apocalypse box and pulled it out of the cabinet. Gideon carefully opened it.
It spoke instantly. "Do not trust him."
"Who?"
"Galen."
"Yes...I get the point."
"Things change..."
"...Long time gone. Would you care to go into any detail about what exactly you mean? I mean, you're confusing me."
It glowed a bit at him.
"I see," Gideon said. "Where to next?"
Gideon suddenly found himself on the floor. Something had fired on the ship.
He sprinted out of his quarters and made his way to the bridge.
"What's going on?" he asked Matheson.
Matheson looked back, worried. "Sir--there's an unknown ship shooting at us."
"I see...well then, we're going to have to shoot back at it."
"Yes sir," Matheson said.
Gideon sat in his chair. "Prepare to fire the forward guns."
Matheson turned back to him, "Captain, we're getting a communication from the ship."
"Put it on."
"Audio only," Matheson reported.
A low voice sounded over the speakers, "You will surrender your vessel; your mission will be cancelled."
Gideon frowned. "Like hell you bastard. What do you want?"
"We'd like to see shooting, fist-fights, and a little sex on top."
"I see. Who are you?"
"We are ALL TNT."
Gideon couldn't believe it. He had heard about the TNTs earlier in the month. They had frolicked around the Epsilon system but had left it alone. " I have no choice but to destroy you."
"You cannot. We have allies."
Matheson reported to Gideon, "Captain! Jump point forming around us! Three of them!" Matheson looked at a screen in front of him and frowned. "Captain--Spoo Warlords of Death closing on us. They're ready for a fight."
"Launch fighters," Gideon ordered.
