Yet another movie great has been lost this year. Charles Bronson has died at age 81.

I never was a big fan of his. Even the movies he was in that were good, like the Dirty Dozen or The Great Escape.

Don't forget The Magnificent Seven.

You gotta give the guy his due. He was smart enough to know what worked for him and what his limitations were, and he chose material appropriately for those strengths and weaknesses. He didn't let his ego convince him that needed to do things that he couldn't do.


I noticed a few weeks back that Gregory Hines' death went unremarked here. I guess action flicks have more fans than tap dancing does.

I noticed a few weeks back that Gregory Hines' death went unremarked here. I guess action flicks have more fans than tap dancing does.

I would have posted something about that but computer problems kept me offline, and have been off and on these past couple of months. It was kind of a shock to me that he died as I didn't even realize he had cancer.
