Some extra B5 Streaming Trivia.

Noticed that the 1993 pilot version of The Gathering streaming on Amazon's Prime Video (S1: Bonus) has been replaced with the TNT Special Edition. Also tried looking for "Babylon 5" via Tubi TV and Roku with no results. Looks like (in May 2026) it is not possible to stream B5 for free on either Roku or Tubi.

Has the special edition Gathering been remastered like the rest of the series?

I think none of the 90s tv-movies were ever remastered, other than taking the 4:3 versions and stretching them to 16:9. There was a separate digital release of The Lost Tales in HD, possibly on account of some Xbox-ish collaboration at the time, but everything else seems to be like the original DVD releases. The Gathering (SD 16:9) exists under season one, while the others (ITB, 3rd, RoS, CtA, LotR, TLT) are bundled together as a separate purchase (so far as Amazon goes) under a name like "Babylon 5: The Movies".
