I've never owned a Laserdisc player, so I don't know from personal experience how the format compares in quality to DVD. But if anyone has watched them, how do the B5 laserdiscs compare to the terrible B5 DVDs? I know every episode wasn't released on laserdisc but from what I understand quite a lot of the series was (seasons 1, 5 and part of 2 and 4 I think?), and I am just wondering whether they are the best versions of the series available, given that a Blu-Ray edition seems unlikely. From what I understand they are 4:3 ratio, so at least the CGI shots won't be cropped. Any opinions would be appreciated, for if they are good enough quality I might just go about buying them one day.
