Annie tells him that one of the pages from the Book Of The Dead descripes how the man felled from the sky and destroyed the evil.
After Ash defeats the evil in the present, he gets sucked into the time rift and finds himself in the past where the medival knights welcomes him as the prophecied man who's going to defeat the evil.
