    Commentary Repository?

Welcome to the boards! I don't know of anywhere that has the DVD commentaries, but if there is I'd love to know too – I guess it would be up to WB to release them. Has JMS done new commentaries on his Patreon for all the episodes that had commentaries on the DVDs? I've watched a few of them on...

    Dune

They always did say Dune was 'unfilmable' (despite this now being the third time it's been filmed). The Lynch version was, as you say, heavy on the narration and exposition, the Villeneuve version focused more on the emotional state of the characters than all the details of how the Dune universe...

    Dune

I read the first book just before I saw the first film, and it became my favourite novel of all time. Finished Dune Messiah before seeing Part 2, and it was a more difficult read, but it's rare that a book makes me think about things the way that Messiah did. Brilliant stuff, very deep, very...

    Alternative Universe

The original plot was going to have Sakai go missing while out exploring on the Rim, and then coming back altered by the Shadows, so that part of the storyline would have remained roughly the same (though not sure it would have involved Sinclair going to Z'Ha'Dum). As was implied by the ending...

    question about an episode

I'm fairly certain that's not a quote from the show - perhaps one of the novels or comics? It does sound like something Ivanova would say though. I googled the phrase and it seems to be a popular phrase to put on t-shirts and memes, so maybe it is from somewhere else?

That's a great website, thanks for the link! I'm surprisingly not taken by many of the items they have for sale (all those Psi Corps badges look... not great?), though there's lots of interesting jewellery if you're into that, and that Grey Council staff is definitely something I would want if...

Fantastic, I did see them on eBay and kept my eye on them to see what they went for. I get the impression they will have more items for sale in the future?

Where's the envy emoji for me to use?! I was at school and university when these figures were all coming out so I didn't have money to buy any of them, I have to resort to eBay now. Most of the B5 stuff that I got as a kid I did so by saving up money for the annual pilgrimage to a convention...

I'll keep an eye out for issues 1 and 2, and let both of you know if I see any! @Looney oh gosh I'd love to get that Pak'ma'ra too. Or a Zathras figure. Or for that matter another entire wave of figures – Sinclair, Zathras, Zack, Talia, Na'Toth. In the meantime I'm just going to have to hope I...

Someone has issues 3 and 4, unopened, for sale on eBay for a good price, they say they ship to the United States but if not I'm happy to help out again. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/386609058924 I think the Pak'ma'ra was meant to be part of the final wave of figures that also included Lochley...

Ah, now, so there was only ever four issues of these DVD fact files released. I've got the magazines for issues 2, 3 and 4, but not issue 1 that came with the pilot, so I'll have to hunt that one down. Here's some pictures of the ones I've got. Look at all this swag that was never put into...

Cool video and a nice tribute! The screenshots of the episode look great. At the end what is that Collector's Edition video tape?

January 26, 1994 - And so it began...

In the UK we saw season 1 on Channel 4 before the pilot (I think the pilot might have been available on VHS, though), so I'm not sure if that makes us First Ones, Second Ones, or maybe 1.5 Ones?! The UK airdate for Midnight on the Firing Line was 6pm on Monday 16th May 1994, and I remember...

Looks like Steve worked in craft services on set. Love that Bill Mumy calls him the 'snack man' in his dedication! Wonder if Jason Davis has interviewed this guy for his book...

Interesting! Possibly it was all signed during the production of War Without End, which would explain why Michael O'Hare and Bruce Boxleitner have both signed it, but why on an 'Eyes' script?

Official: Babylon 5 coming to Blu-ray in December

I received the boxset at Christmas and have viewed up until And The Sky Full of Stars so far, and I can report that I am ecstatic to have this collection. To have the entire five-season run in a set that I can hold in one hand is incredible, considering how much space my old B5 VHS collection...

It was the year 2023, the name of the place was...

So, with 2023 coming to a belated end, I wanted to look back at the most successful year for Babylon 5 since 2007. We got The Road Home, which seemed to split opinion on here but judging by the Amazon bestsellers list it seemed to do well. Whether it did well enough for WB to commission...

Hello Garibaldi's Hat, welcome to the boards. I was lucky to get a copy of Dining on Babylon 5 from a member on here for a fair price, but yes I'd been looking for a copy for a while. Now here's a weird thing – the comic that came with The Lost Tales when bought from Best Buy, I have this...

Official: Babylon 5 coming to Blu-ray in December

I've been hearing that bumper is in every episode? I hope not! One or two episodes I can accept as an annoying mistake, but every episode? The credits were always presented in a 'widescreen' format with black bars top and bottom, even in the original broadcast.

Question about the Commodore Amiga computer's use in Babylon 5 ?

The person to ask would be the gentleman that ran the B5 Scrolls website, he interviewed a lot of the animators for his website b5scrolls.com. You can reach out to him on his Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/B5Scrolls/. Hope that helps!
