    What's your favourite season?

I'm close to saying that season 1 is my second favourite season, but then I look at the excellent episodes from seasons 2 and 4 and there's not that much in season 1 to compare to them. But season 1 is the show I fell in love with and have many happy memories of that developing over the course...

    What's your favourite season?

What's everyone's favourite season of Babylon 5? I'm not necessarily meaning what's objectively the best season, since we'll never all agree, but what is your personal favourite and why? For me, it's season 3. It hit just at the time that B5 was really becoming super popular among genre fans...

    What are You Watching?

I've been re-watching the X-Files recently. When it was originally shown in the UK in 90s we got the first two seasons free-to-air on the BBC, but then Sky got the rights, so I haven't seen a lot of the episodes that weren't shown by on the BBC. So this is the first time that I've watched a lot...

    B5 on Amazon Prime

Those are brilliant, thank you for sharing! Your whole website is cool, I enjoyed looking through the still photos and interviews. And I'd be very interested in your book, please do keep us updated on how that progresses!

    B5 on Legend, UK channel

Part of me would dearly like a bout of selective amnesia so I can experience the show again without knowing what's going to happen. But then I wonder, would it really be the same experience me watching it now rather than when it first aired and when I was a certain age? So in the words of Dr...

    New To Babylon 5

I'll just reiterate what I said in another thread about how it's great to see new - or relatively new in Axionz case – viewers really appreciating Michael O'Hare's performance given how disliked he was by many people during the original run in the 1990s. It's such a tragedy he isn't with us...

    B5 on Legend, UK channel

It will be interesting to see what they do. When it was last shown on Sky 2, they also showed In The Beginning after season 5, but I don't think they showed any of the other TNT movies. I'm sceptical Legend will show Crusade, as it is only 13 episodes so it's only two-and-a-half weeks of...

I just googled 'John Vornholt interview'.

B5 Novels, Novelizations and Short Stories

I found a transcript of an interview with author John Vornholt (who wrote Voices and Blood Oath) online, some interesting stuff. He confirms he had 8 months to a year lead-time when writing them. He also amusingly takes credit for Talia's Control personality, and says JMS "slipped up" when he...

B5 Novels, Novelizations and Short Stories

Looking at the publication dates of the first two or three books (1995), I suspect they had indeed not seen much of the show, if you factor in that they probably were given a few months to write each novel, and then the rush to publication. They probably began writing early 1994, so they'd maybe...

B5 Novels, Novelizations and Short Stories

I read it back when I was a teenager and the book had just come out. I think I enjoyed it at the time, finishing it in two sittings, but I'm not sure I would enjoy it now. I guess it would make a better Star Trek novel than a Babylon 5 novel. I do remember thinking Clark's Law was good. The...

    Mars security forces uniform patch?

By coincidence I was just looking at this patch on eBay earlier this week and wondering if it had actually been in the show (same for a lot of those Starfury squadron patches). It's cool that they went to the trouble of creating the patch even if it barely got any screentime. Are the patches on...

New eps of The Babylon Podcast

According to the Internet he is Director of Operations at Santa Monica Audi, assuming it is the same Macauley Bruton, it looks like him. One thing I never realised was he was Michael O'Hare's dialogue coach - I knew he had a coach but I didn't know it was Bruton, so he deserves some credit for...

    Reaction videos

@Looney, did you get anywhere with your YouTube channel? Maybe someone should do a B5TV YouTube channel! There's a whole slew of reactors doing B5 now. Warp Reactor is now up to season 5, and he has been great and loves the show but recently I've started thinking he sometimes gets so wrapped up...

New eps of The Babylon Podcast

Thanks for the heads up! I used to listen to the Babylon Podcast all the time circa 2007, I'll have to check out the new episodes, particularly the Macaulay Bruton one as I've never read or heard an interview with him before. Am I right in thinking he is now a car salesman and owns several...

    B5 on Legend, UK channel

Well they didn't cut out Sinclair's "If I'm going out I'm taking you bastards with me" line from And the Sky Full of Stars, even in the 10am re-run on a Sunday morning! Channel 4 cut out "bastards" in the original airing.

From AquaTec 8615 to Babylon 5

One thing I am curious about, and I know Jason Davies will cover this in his books, is how they had to plan the production schedule around re-dressing sets, like for example Londo's quarters might be re-dressed to become someone else's quarters. I wonder how long it took to do that, and whether...

    B5 on Legend, UK channel

Huh, I didn't realise AMC owned Legend. And good point, they could be edits from elsewhere, I'm not sure how WB distribute the series to TV channels. The cuts just seem a bit random, if it was just for violence I'd understand. Speaking of cuts, it has just reminded me of this poster used to...

    B5 on Legend, UK channel

Only for the BBC. Legend has advertisements. If they are cutting the violent scenes why cut Londo talking about his dream? And, 30 years ago, none of these scenes were cut when Channel 4 first aired the show at 6pm, and censorship has become less strict since then. So I do wonder if they are...

    B5 on Legend, UK channel

Nah, it's like they are mutilating it, you don't want to see that. Today's random cuts in Parliament of Dreams – one shot of G'Kar in the pain givers (they left the other shots of him being electrocuted in, just cut one shot) and entirely cut the scene where Na'Toth is kicking the pain givers.
