    Name that actor/actress!

That woman looks so familiar, but I just can't place her. Was she on the Waltons or something?

    Highlander S1 dvd set

Heh. Am I the only one here who picked this up? I remember watching this show quite a bit when I was younger, so I got it at Best Buy a couple days ago. I've watched 9 episodes so far. I was a bit surprised, I could have sworn a couple of the episodes I've seen already took place much later...

    Anyone read Terry Goodkind?

Yeah, GKE mentioned the Sword of Truth in the Wheel of Time thread. RW is a fan of that series too, or he was a while back. I read it as well, and thought it was better than Wheel of Time in some ways. There are quite a few other SoT readers here, I'm sure. ***edited to add*** What? I've...

    Sirius Black cast?

*snaps fingers* duh! Thanks, Sinclair. Sometimes the ole synaptics just don't fire like they should.

    Sirius Black cast?

He was in Air Force One as the main terrorist, in Fifth Element as the guy with the half-bald hair-do, in JFK as, as...Darn! *bangs head* The name escapes me. THe guy who killed Kennedy.

    Sirius Black cast?

That's a character in the third Harry Potter book, hypatia. Gary Oldman? Hmmm. I think I like him for that part.

Wheel of Time: Crossroads of Twilight *SPOILERS*

Cool, I have a very, very old copy of Jane Eyre myself. Second edition, I think. I have't read it, though. Well, you can always use bookstores as libraries. If you're short on cash, just grab a book and sit down to read it. I wouldn't recommend going for the paperbacks unless you can read...

Wheel of Time: Crossroads of Twilight *SPOILERS*

Have you read the Song of Ice and Fire series by George Martin? It's good. Plenty of violence and sex, too. And it's like B5 in that main characters die. They don't use magic very much, because in this world, magic died out with the dragons. And no one is really truly good or evil...

    Amazon.com's Editorial of S2

Re: Amazon.com\'s Editorial of S2 Ivanova has never impressed me as far as looks go. I can't even see why someone would find her attractive, like I can a lot of other women I don't go for personally.

Wheel of Time: Crossroads of Twilight *SPOILERS*

I usually can't stop in the middle of a story, either, but when it takes me over 3 weeks to muddle through a book I'd normally be able to read in 2 days, I know it's not really worth reading anymore. If I think of reading the book as a chore, then I won't, simple as that.

Wheel of Time: Crossroads of Twilight *SPOILERS*

I was an avid reader of the Wheel of Time series until the last part of book 8. It just became a chore to read, so I stopped. I got book 9, but I read about a hundred pages before stopping that, too. I peeked at the last couple of pages to see that Rand cleansed the male part of the source...

Slight Revisions to S2 Cover Art

D'ya think it might look better if they didn't have that blue/white explosion behind everyone? If it was just space, like with the S1 cover, the people and the B5 logo might stand out a bit more. Honestly, the first thing my eyes see when looking at the S2 cover is that whitish explosion...

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Yeesh. At this rate, the seventh book will be the size and weight of the Physician's Desk Reference. Anyway, I can't wait!

Slight Revisions to S2 Cover Art

That cover is still ugly. That looks nothing like Sheridan, at all. And what's with Garibaldi? If you look at his eyes, it seems he's looking at the 5 that mysteriously grew out of un-Sheridan's head.

    Television Without Pity

Yeah, that site is hilarious. I came across it early last summer when doing a search on one of the Trading Spaces designers. I've had to be careful not to be eating or drinking anything while reading the recaps or the boards. I like the word they use: snarky. That's exactly what they are.

    Joe Millionaire- sexist?

Am I the only one on the board who watched this show? lol Yes, they did really set all the women up as gold-diggers, but I think editing would have a lot to do with it. I think a lot of women, when meeting a man and confronted with a chateau, might make statements about princes and castles...

No, I think we should axe you, Antony.

    Girfriend & B5

Heck, I don't like the first episode, either. I hate first episodes. The only first episode of a series I liked was Crusade's.

    New Forum???

I like televisionwithoutpity, but i usually hang out at the Trading Spaces board. The recappers for Trading Spaces have a scathing sense of humor, and this is kind of one of those shows where you can read a 16page recap and still have to see the rooms to get what's going on. I've read recaps...
