Changing courses...

Finally... Writing a story can sometimes be difficult. At certain points, you have to reveal many hints of future directions. Some even far-reaching. Without being obvious, without attracting attention. Another nuisance which troubles me: descriptive passages.

I am lousy at combining dialog with descriptions. But nevertheless, I keep trying. And miserably failing. So forgive me if dialog is unbalanced. I can only assure that we are not even approaching the interesting parts. You see, I have those flowcharts and diagrams. <font color=yellow> [shadow grin] </font color=yellow> By the time I need them, I hope to improve it.

Take your time. And be warned, some parts are lousy. My writing tends to be awfully moody. Some parts are readable, some might be gloomy and some enjoyable, but generally their quality is rather inconsistent.

When your usual writings are computer programs, writing a story is quite a challenge. I am ashamed to admit but in four chapters, half of the main characters haven't even been properly introduced. The other half haven't been introduced at all.

And now... any destructive criticism? I am sure that there must be some criticism. The Shadow Nitpicking Team loves criticism. Perhaps our literary specialist Channe can suggest something? Did anyone notice something which could use improvement? Which parts were the least readable? Was the layout tolerable?

As for the next chapter, well... I have already chosen the main lines. The only problem is writing it. /ubbthreads/images/icons/grin.gif

It's been one hellish week (well, two weeks), and as I'll have to work evenings and weekends too, I haven't wanted to just skim over it.

If so, that was quite a shot to capture.
