Great to see the series get a remaster / Blu Ray treatment even though I'm not remotely interested in physical media where my film / TV is concerned. I have a big solid state hard drive, and that does me fine. I remain very unsure about the future of B5 on the basis of TRH. I won't repeat my...

I have all of zero memory of the music from my one watch of TRH. Not a good sign.

Former TNT Execs Go On Record About 'Crusade' In New Book Coming In 2024

This would be fascinating to read because I am minded to think too much of the blame for Crusade being a dumpster fire is put on TNT. I tend to think JMS also had a big part to play in how poor it was. It's likely a team effort.

The Road Home review thread (contains spoilers)

All opinions are subjective. But there is a trend of 'movie' B5 being significantly less good than 'serialized B5'. Apart from In the Beginning, most of the TV movies are either passable or not very good. All IMHO, you mileage may vary, etc.

FOR SALE: Pile of JMS Graphic Novels up for grabs (Midnight Nation / Supreme Power / Rising Stars) - UK

I can do the whole lot for £24 posted in the UK if anyone wants to snag an insane bargain.

I'm still coming to terms with how disappointing this was, but still kinda glad there is something new in the B5 universe. I hope it can lead to better things. I think one thing this has established is that JMS is less good at a one shot, and is better playing with a long form series. I still...

FOR SALE: Pile of JMS Graphic Novels up for grabs (Midnight Nation / Supreme Power / Rising Stars) - UK

Hey folks, I'm having a clear out of my graphic novel collection, and I have these from way back. Wouldn't want inflated prices for them, just for them to go to a fellow fan. I'm UK based, so UK buyers preferred but can ship further afield if you are willing to cover postage. I have the...

I was thinking about this. The cool thing about the Shadows in the show was that we only ever got fleeting glimpses at them. They controlled things from behind the scenes, playing off the major powers against each other. Having rampaging hordes of shadows with shields and lasers felt a bit too...

The Road Home review thread (contains spoilers)

I'd be intrigued if they go into anymore detail on this (I don't have access to the commentary). I thought the Shadow vessels looked kinda crappy, and wasn't too into the weird tentacle monster / Lovecraftian mothership. Would have loved to have seen a classic battle crab rendered with more...

The Road Home review thread (contains spoilers)

I'm with you buddy. Same thoughts here, but slightly different. If a soft reboot was the intention/endgame, I would have been totally content for the animated feature to start there. Unsure we needed this film to set that up. The intrigue of dumping us in an alt timeline from the get go and...

The Road Home review thread (contains spoilers)

The B5 reddit has more lukewarm / negative reviews than positive at this point. I've thought quite a lot about the film since I watched it and have been trying to pinpoint why it just didn't resonate with me. I think it boils down to Sheridan's almost complete lack of agency in the film. He's...

The Road Home review thread (contains spoilers)

Well, finally got the chance to sit down and watch this and I came away pretty disappointed despite going in with low expectation. THE GOOD: -It looks great. -Voice cast were all excellent and it was so nice to hear our old friends from the old cast. Hearing Peter Jurasik deliver some lines as...

    B5 Animated Movie

Bang on assessment. I think if I watched B5, totally cold, as a new viewer now, my experience would be massively different to back in my early teens. Hell, I didn't even notice the wobbly sets, hammy acting and low budget back then, just a great epic SF show. These days, I still enjoy B5, but I...

    B5 Animated Movie

Hard to say until we see the film. I guess there are professional voice actors for a reason. I'm pretty open to the re-casting. Look at Clone Wars, those guys nail Obi Wan and Anakin without being the original actors.

    B5 Animated Movie

I feel the same. The multiverse thing feels a bit lazy to me and its a bandwagon everyone is currently jumping on. That said I'll still be watching and I'll support new B5, because we've waited so long for it. Trailer looks nice enough, dialogue a bit cornball at times, but hey, it's B5 and...

    B5 Animated Movie

Pretty over the moon with this. Animation solves so many issues with the older cast, and you can do pretty much anything you want with animated stuff. No idea is too big or whacky. So, we finally got a B5 movie, just not how we expected. WB also has excellent pedigree with the DC animated...

Anybody want a copy of Dining on Babylon 5?

Hey Springer, I'd be happy to wait. Drop me a PM. I'd happily knock a good deal off the inflated prices, as I think it's a bit extreme. Yes, it's quite hard to come by now!

Anybody want a copy of Dining on Babylon 5?

Hi folks, I have a spare copy of this book I want to sell. Looks to fetch some silly prices online, but I'd be happy to undercut eBay sold listings considerably. Am UK based. Would like it to go to a fellow fan. Comment here and PM for photos. Book is is 'good' condition as per Abebooks...

    NEW Babylon 5 Series

I think we'll be lucky to see any treatment after Pedowitz exit at the CW. It's a shame, but I think the reboot is VERY dead (personal opinion based on past experience of frequent disappointments around B5 ). The social media campaign should have been a strong sign to us all that things...

    NEW Babylon 5 Series

Folks, I think the reboot is dead in the water now. A real shame. Press release: After spending several years setting the pace of “The Flash” and other hard-racing TV superheroes on the CW network, Mark Pedowitz has reached the end of his current adventure. The longtime TV executive, who...
