If you think about the legend of John Henry (the mythical figure who the T1000 named the AI after) my theory seems to fit. John Henry was a folk hero who took it upon himself to single-handedly fight technology. If the T1000 uses the AI to fight Skynet then the name is very apt.
Perhaps the...
But even the continuity within the season doesn't flow. For example, Daphne was shown as virtually unable to walk without her power. Yet, she already lost her power temporarily earlier in the show and all it did was slow her down (when she and Hiro were within range of the Haitian).
I've officially given up with this show. I think the writers have lost it. The "story" has become nothing more than a bunch of random events strung together. There are too many inconsistancies and not enough logic. Shame. The first season was very good.
It seems strange that her actions are at odds with the actions of the T888s. In particular, a T888 was sent to kill the psychiatrist, but the T1000 clearly had a very important use for him. The same thing happened to Ellison, even though he has become the T1000's confidant.
I suspect that...
I'm starting to think that the T1000 isn't evil at all. She's one of the "good guys", reprogrammed and sent back through time in order to turn the machines against themselves. Just a wacky theory.
I believe it is intended to be consistent with the Star Trek universe as already established. However, the main story point of this movie has characters travelling into the past and changing the timeline. So, in a sense it can be considered both a prequel and a restart.
Apparently, the 2008 Christmas special is entitled "The Next Doctor". I doubt that the successor to Tennant will be revealed until his final episode. So, what does this title refer to?
Yeah. It's pretty cool. Not as good as Iron Man, but a hell of alot better than Ang Lee's Hulk.
Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America, and The Avengers are all lined-up for the next few years. Exciting times!
This will come out after Iron Man 2. I think the initial idea was to have the Hulk as the villain in The Avengers (hence the sinister grin Banner gave to the camera at the end of TIH).
I was watching the special features on the First Contact DVD last night and one of the writers said that they chose a time travel story for the movie because it was something that wasn't explored much in the TV series. I almost fell off my chair!
I think the story jumps around the timeline a bit. You will see Kirk's parents before he was born, Kirk as a little kid, Kirk at the acadamy, and then the full crew during the TOS era.
It had flawed heroes and an ambitious long-term story arc, in which the main characters were constantly in real danger. Pretty cutting-edge for its time. But not everyone can get past the cheap, flimsy production values.
