You could say that about 90% of the stuff that comes out of Hollywood these days. Not just sci-fi. Although, I am a little concerned at the current state of the genre on the small screen.

It would be a great time to bring B5 back to the TV. Any such project would appear to have very little competition at the moment (I can't think of any space-faring sci-fi shows currently airing.......can you?)

I've been thinking about the importance of April. The beginning/end of the financial year? Are TV shows more likely to be dependent on such a factor, rather than feature films (which get commissioned all year round)?

The more I think about it, the more I would rather have a new TV series/mini-series/movie rather than a full-blown feature film. B5 just wouldn't feel right on the big screen. Especially so long after completion of the series proper. It doesn't lend itself well to the tick-all-the-boxes...

I would imagine that the production of DVD cover art for your own personal use would fall within the definition of 'fair useage' and therefore would not fall foul of copyright law. Look at it this way - if you have already purchased the DVDs and are not distributing the art work you produce...

My problem with the Lochley story was that it wasn't written for B5. It was simply shoe-horned into the B5 universe. When I watched it for the first time it just didn't feel right. On the other hand, I thought the visuals in TLT were pretty amazing. I loved the external shots of the station...

Something has been brewing for a while. But since jms's cryptic 'ides of May' clue for TMoS a few years back, I have learnt not to hold my breath. Also, IMO the quality of recent ventures into the B5 universe (LotR and TLT) have been questionable.

Crusade is set 5 years after season 5 of B5. 2262 + 5 = 2267. I think you may be getting confused with LotR.

IIRC, G'Kar makes a reference to the fact that Lyta died prior to LotR. And was she not slated to die during the Teep War?
