Interesting idea, but I don't think so. President Clarke is very Pro Earth and wants to distance humans from other aliens. Choosing Sheridan Starkiller is the perfect choice to create a rift between the humans & Minbari. Behind the President of course, the Shadows are really calling the shots...

Removing about 75% of the words from our language and changing all words ending in 'ise' to 'ize' is not really an improvement IMBO (In My British Opinion)

Shows like this are usually good because the creator DOES care about it. I get the impression that most, if not all, of the team behind B5 really took pride in what they were doing and it shows I bet that with TV shows that are not very good, that the people involved take the 'it's just a job'...
