When DVD decision time comes around the decision will be the distributor's (MGM) more than Showtime's. And the lion may wanna chew on this:
The Amazon.com sales rank for ...
The Sopranos Season One DVDs - 44
The Sopranos Season Two DVDs - 83
The Sopranos Season Three DVDs - 30
... for MGM's...
If JMS can save the galaxy in 5 years, I'm sure he can handle one measley little planet in the same amount of time.
Why syndication? There would be commercials and it would have to be a sanitized version and how many times can Kurdy say "Oh, darn!" anyway? Why not take "The Sopranos" (because...
Sooooooo, I can't be the only one thinking: Meaghan, Devon. Devon, Meaghan. Let's try to keep the dissecting at a minimum as it would upset certain people.
And just to stay on topic: if Kurdy gets a new partner, then it's only fair that Jeremiah get one, too.
... and if Markus and Erin are captured by VS, who's gonna take care of Meaghan? Not that she's terribly important or anything, except for that being the key to the cure for the Big Death thing which is barely worth mentioning, but Markus might be a little put out if something happened to her...
OK, I got a question. What is a "series regular"? Main cast or re-occurring? Cuz a big chunk of "Jeremiah" is peopled by re-ocurring. How many eps do you have to be in to count as main? I'm pretty sure agents have something to do with it.
Thesp. The only thing that pops to mind is that it's...
Re: Woo-HOO!
Just putting the final nail in the coffin of this issue: TMN did indeed show "Man of Iron, Woman Under Glass" tonight.
I officially take back that "The Moron Network" crack
Re: Woo-HOO!
It is rather cool that they listened. All networks should be so attentive.
Here's further proof of TMN redemption (from e-mail I received from Helpful CCR Person):
As mentioned in our telephone conversation in regards to your concern with the episode order of the series...
Woo-HOO!
Just got off the phone with TMN: they apologize for the mix-up. It seems that Showtime sent them the tapes but didn't make the distinction between episode # and production #. TMN promises that from now on the eps will air in the in the proper order by episode # as per the official...
Re: Screen captures for wallpapers
The more exact you are on which ep/scene/angle/pose you want the more likely you are to get exactly what you want. And the easier for me.
Here's a close-up of Meaghan. The flip-side of the other:
The other side of the Firewall
(only seen a few eps but I'm already there)
... you seriously ponder, for 5 whole minutes, why the US Airforce built the Cheyenne Mountain NORAD base in British Columbia
TMN Without End (part 2):
In Valen's name!! Helpful CCR person did look into it, and got back to me for the 2nd time today. She actually went to the official sites that I mentioned and saw the error of TMN's ways. She even figured out that they showed episode 5 on Monday instead of episode...
The TMN saga continues:
Spoke with a helpful TMN CCR (Customer Care Rep) today, and she actually got back to me with info Apparently the TMN Programming department is convinced that
a) "Jeremiah" is not an arc show like the holy "Sopranos", and therefore episode order doesn't really matter,
b)...
Screen captures for wallpapers
If anyone wants digital quality screen captures to make wallpapers, I'd be happy to make them. Since we were talking about Markus, and I happen to adore Markus , here's a sample:
Firewall screen capture
Oh, forgot to mention. Showtime's site is not accessible from outside the US. We get this message:
Sorry
We at Showtime Online express our apologies; however, these pages are intended for access only from within the United States.
Why this is, I cannot imagine
Thanks Monica! I'll go check things out.
In the interest of full disclosure, I did only see the TMN schedule until the end of October, figured out that their schedule matched the chronology of the episode production #s which I found at Epguides.com/Jeremiah
and extrapolated according to that...
The order TMN is showing them in is:
1.01&02 The Long Road
1.05 To Sail Beyond the Stars
1.12 The Touch
1.03 Man of Iron, Woman Under Glass
1.06 The Bag
1.04 ... And the Ground, Sown With Salt
1.07 City of Roses
1.08 Firewall
1.09 The Red Kiss
1.10 Journeys End in Lovers Meeting
1.14...
TMN, which obviously stands for "The Moron Network", is showing the Jeremiah eps in the wrong order, ie. according to production number instead of episode number I did NOT wait a WHOLE year for Jeremiah to finally be shown in the country in which it was filmed to see the eps in the wrong bloody...
