Rangers and Salad Bars

RW7427, you may be more qualified, (being a salad bar expert,) at answering the question of the Liandra having Organic shields. ------------------

SFX for B5lr: Worries and questions

Bakana is right to an exent here, many of the fleet sequences were done with a few models, and cgi movement in the background. The camera was always moving, giving added excitement to the shots. Early in the series, (and some of my favorite CGI) used less ships, more detail, very realistic...

    Special Announcement about Rangers?!?

I may have posted this before, but the last two episodes, (unfilmed), of Crusade would make a great Movie, and lead in to the continuation of Crusade as a series. Getting the actors back together would be nearly impossible. The big 6 from the show would do...

    Rangers and ACtA

I think that to add the Liandra to the battle would be pointless. We have seen all the important aspects of the battle, the cameo would only be important as...(Possible Spoiler)

Spoiler:

<font size=2...

    Special Announcement about Rangers?!?

Thank you Roanna!!! <Runs off to set VCR, and cable box> I have been awaiting this!!! I hope with the CGI done, we will at least see a glimpse of the CGI work, (anything would do,) like the new ships!!! ------------------

Could the ISA ever produce their own ships with Bio-Armor?

I was under the impression the Whitestar armor was grown on the vessel. The process was done @ Minbar. The Victory Class, (Excalibur,) was also supposed to go through this process, however the 6 months it takes to grow the armor was too long, and the need for the vessel to be placed in service...

    Famous B5 Future Flashes!?

I would be surprised if there was no hidden twist in the plotline. JMS loves to give us something to think about, for him not to do it would be a greater surprise. I don't think we will see it big in the movie. As a movie, it must stand alone. I will be looking nonetheless. aef2...

    Crusade/LOTR time overlap?

The Rangers were assisting in the search, however, just what could be spared. The ISA is not the most stable Alliance, and with everyone still looking for an advantage over their enemies of the past, the Rangers are very active peace keepers, along with the many other roles they must fill...

" To Live and Die in Starlight"

Re: \" To Live and Die in Starlight\" I'm glad to here the design of the "Liandra" has that kind of reaction from you, Kitaro. I have been awaiting a look at the new vessel, (like many of us,) for some time now. To have a the Navigator looking foreward to 'flying' it again is wild. I guess...

    CGI....

quote:

Personally, Bluestar is better than "Snub Nosed Whitestar" which is the only Canonical name for the ship (and even then, the name was never mentioned on the show, its from Tim Earls website
<font...

I do not understand SCI-FI's reluctance

Re: I do not understand SCI-FI\'s reluctance The 4.1 rating for "In the Beginning" for its first run on TNT was due to the size of this fan base. It is alot bigger than we think. I believe that the best thing we can do as fans, is to tell other Sci Fi fans about the show. I am responsible...

    Babylon 5 Rangers

I disagree with the above... (Don't want to copy the entire posting by "CaptSheridan" Sheridan was a military officer in all the above mentioned wars, (except the Drahk engagement, but he was given the visions, and had no choice.) As a Military Leader in the Shadow War, it is his...

    To Lyta (Monica)

Remember the Commander of the Whitestar Sheridan sent on the suicide mission to draw the Shadows to Corianna 6? He looked in his mid 30's. This fits with the timing, the Rangers had to replace many people after the Shadow war. I would think that if the Commander was more experienced and...

    Babylon 5 Rangers

Joe is correct, I did 4 years of service, (USAF,) and I mentioned the President / Commander in Chief as much as I do today. Although our unit received 2 Presidential Unit Awards, (consecutive,) we did not see, meet, or even hear words written by the President. Also, as a reminder, this...

Anyone captured an image of the new ship yet?

I have mentioned this before, but the old ship is most likely a "Monitor Class", predicessor to the "Whitestar Class Monitor". In the last 200 years, the Rangers were not well treated by the Grey Council, and were not worthy of the Sharlin or even the Tanashi. They operated at the sufferance...

There is a Scifi rangers site. . .

There is the possibility that the "New Race" will be one that watched the Shadow War, and figured that we have been softened up. With all the races rebuilding and the Rangers busy keeping the peace and protecting the Alliance territory, now is the best time to strike. Its how I would do it...

    Loriens ship

The Whitestar Class Monitor, is an upgraded Monitor Class. The Rangers were not worthy of the expense on a Sharlin, or a Tanasi. ------------------

Did anyone else see this during B5 tonight?

Unfortunatly, the 6 months prior to air time will hurt everyone who does not want to know the story, plotline, etc. There will be leaks - as a huge b5 fan, please be sure to tell when a spoiler is posted!!!! I want to see it fresh, (but I will check out pics of the ship!!!) ------------------

Please post the address of the secret website on this thread when you get it!

Being an overall Sci-fi fan, I thought Dune was one of the best miniseries ever filmed. The effects fit the book, the characters fit the parts, (Patrick Stewart as Gurny Halek was better in the old film, all else was a win for sfc), and the sets were stunning! I have trouble with the concept...
