Since we're talking about it, my decision to buy Crusade on DVD depends on the extent of the special features: how many commentaries JMS gives and if the unfilmed scripts are included. It would be nice to include them so he could show fans where the show was heading.

I can get TNG locally for less than what it costs me to get B5 from Amazon.ca, plus the R2 packaging is far superior. But I just can't justify buying it when even the best seasons have 50% howlers.

I don't expect LotR Extended Edition audio-visual quality from B5 considering they made all 5 seasons and the tv movies for less than the cost of Fellowship of the Ring. B5 was purposefully shot very dark - read the Lurker's Guide page for Points of Departure. I'm just glad to have the series...

I saw it the other night. Enjoyable movie that doesnt try to be too complex and the sounds of the gunshots in the final shootout were great. Given that he has had some really expensive flops (Waterworld and Postman) I can understand the hesitation of funders.

This local online store is offering all the TNG box sets and the first 3 DS9 at half price with free shipping. Just fyi it works out to about 15% more than what I pay for each B5 boxed set in total from Amazon.ca. Any recommendations?

I had good luck with both my R1 S1 and S2 sets, but disc 4 of S3, the only set that came through airmail and not surface shipping, was scratched... figures :( I noticed a slight shudder for a second when watching the Interludes commentary, haven't seen the rest of the disc yet.
