Speaking of which, I've seen enough politicians to actually believe that humans are devolving into slimy, squirmy things! Then again thats just politicians, maybe we're safe!
The twists were so thorough that it was difficult to predict what would happen next. JMS's attention to detail was/is brilliant. Not so much the set because he kept that to a minimum, the character flaws and strengths were portrayed in such a brillint light that you reached a point that you...
Hapatia had the right of it:
"The key is "Warner" here"
It's true, we've all had this discussion before but what it boils down to is WB has to exert it's influence bring in to focus the potential money making power with the overseas market.
The countries that I have seen represented on this...
Excellent episode but it was also cool to see a whitestar take on a Drakh Flagship, and win! The shadows were freaky the drakh just strike me as downright scary!

That is what gave it it's addictive quality!

But thats the whole point. There is no annoying brat to save the day. It's like a bloody home...

Cannot argue with that!
However when Delenn sweeps in to save the day when earth force attacks B5, goosebumps everytime!
Didn't see it coming at all. When I first watched season one I though it was gonna be a regular run of the mill sci fi show with a different spin on the whole "alien " thing. Suffice to say that I was wrong and quite happily so!
Or Wesley becoming more dorkified! It's true the degree that Londo changed was mind boggling. But then again all the characters went through huge emotional changes. JMS was brilliant in the way he wrote the story casting the people so that you view them as stereotypes. And within a season breaks...
That explosion was excellent. Then again thats what set B5 apart from all the others, enhancing the reality of the moment with cgi. Not trying to redefine reality wioth cgi
To my mind the worst was with Garibaldi when the Psycor get hold of him and bester reprograms him, I came close to hating the guy, although I knew there was something suspiscious I still really disliked him. And like you said, nobody there to fix the warp engine!
B5 characters are more human and have problems that we can relate to. My heart went out to poor Marcus in every bloody episode. Always the gentleman with Ivonova, always sidestepping her brush offs and replying with even more determination. Nevermind the fact that the universe is on the brink of...
I would have to agree that it was a pivotal episode which gave rise to B5 as we know it. Thats why I stated a while back in one of the other threads , I could only appreciate series 1 after viewing the other seasons, only finished series 4 recently!
Sterile is the word I would use. Both the story and the effect. the thing that I liked about B5 was the lack of force feilds. What a cop out on star treks side. Oooooooh lets put up a sheild and kill what little story we have and to add insult to injury we'll include an annoying boy child called...
Has anybody been here and been through these stories?http://www.b5-dark-mirror.demon.co.uk/
I'll admit that i have company resources which makes it easier but these alt dimension stories were absolutely brilliant!
