The same reason we have homeless in this day and age: people don't give a damn. The EA had problems bigger than homeless people on a space station (i.e. internal strife, recovering from a major war). They only started making noises about it after B5 broke away, to turn it into a propaganda...

The Warner's Bros web site used to have a message board (haven't been there in age, so I don't know if they still do) for B5. I used to see Joe D. there a lot.

Just a thought, but maybe because we have spent years being shit on by TV producers that wouldn't know a literate well-written series if it bit them in their over-sized butts?

I think I read/heard somewhere that the actress, Marianne Robertson, left the show on her own for reasons I can not recall to save my soul right now. :confused:

I kinda liked the series. :o It was better in the second series when it became a kinda fucked-future type show. It is notable in my mind for being the first place I ever saw Adrian Paul, who went on to play Duncan MacLeod in the Highlander TV series, which was rather good.

I believe the plan was for Takashima's second to take over her role and the character in that role would have been Ivanova. The part eventually become Lt. David Corwin.

I always wanted to see someone do a version of this and do it right (i.e.:right time period, tripods, heat ray, etc.). Sadly, the phrase "contemporary adaptation of Wells' classic Mars invasion novel" makes me think this is not going to be it.

I would like to see it only if it corrected what I heard they did on the series finale of Angel. How the hell do you end a series like that?

Rewatching "Epiphanies" it seems "Thirdspace" would fit neatly between it and "The Illusion of Truth" as the embargo against B5 is put in place in "Epiphanies" and that plays a minor role in "Thirdspace". *still waiting about the joke*

"Thirdspace" is set in the middle of season four. There is a voiceover by Sheridan that says "It was the middle of the Earth year 2260. The year between wars" meaning the time between the end of the Shadow War and the start of the liberation of Earth and the colonies. As for "Day of the Dead"...
