SF and TV don't mix, we need to find another way...

Re: SF and TV don\'t mix, we need to find another way... wow, we've gotten off-topic pretty fast. I wanted to discuss new ways to bring SF to the screen, not the necessity of reading. (P.S., I learned all my English through TV and music, just like all Dutch kids do)

    VEX

VEX, that was the best B5 site I ever saw. I still have a few pages on hard-copy. After it was taken down, the person behind it indicated he may do something with it in the future. At one time he was talking about a CD-ROM release, but I don't think it ever happened.

SF and TV don't mix, we need to find another way...

Re: SF and TV don\'t mix, we need to find another way... have you forgotten about TNT? besides, Sci-Fi Channel was our last hope for good SF on TV. It's gone now. (It's time they change the name of that f***** channel)

SF and TV don't mix, we need to find another way...

SF and TV don\'t mix, we need to find another way... With Farscape, they cancelled one SF show too many. By now it's clear to me that Science Fiction and TV don't mix. (The market for feature films is even worse). Good SF shows should build on long-term success. Good SF is made for a few...

Valen and UK showing of Rangers

Last I heard Warner UK wanted to bring Rangers out on video first, just like they did with the other B5 movies. I think they will use the DVD format this time.

    Re: Rangers on Region4 DVD.
In reply to:
To me, it sounds more like a rumor than anything. "Rangers specialize in reports from distant places. Rumors are at the core of what we do." (Lenonn, In The Beginning)

Was Rangers shown with Dolby Surround?

I haven't been able to get Surround Sound out of my Legend of the Rangers videotape. I assumed it had something to do with the tape being NTSC, while I have a PAL TV system. But I just noticed there was no 'presented in Dolby Surround' logo at the beginning of the episodes. ALL B5 and Crusade...

B5 sets were destroyed many years ago

so JMS said some of the sets were saved, I guess that's different from being stored. I knew they kept some of the sets for crusade, and assumed they were stored when the crusade sets were. I thought they stored the sets because it was difficult to recreate them to look the same. We all now...
