Even in B², it was pretty clear to me that they were losing that battle. The shadow invasion and destruction of B5 were NOT something that was meant to turn into reality. It might've been a hell of a thing to watch, but it also would have meant that almost all of our characters are dead.

To really do it right, you'd also have to get the pseudo-synthetic sounding voice thing down.

An episode of the highest quality. Severed Dreams is intense and in the large scale a tragic battle, but Interludes and Examinations hits me even harder. Sheridan right up in Kosh's face is one of the most intense scenes in the entire series, but during the dream / death sequence for Kosh I...

A. The two greatest parts of this episode are more complexity being added to Bester's character, and the touching scene between Delenn and G'kar.

I gave it a C. It was an ok story but pretty forgettable in the grand scheme of things. Also a little over the top.

B+ from me. What on the surface appears to be a silly comical episode actually has some very important character development.

I gave it a B. The last 15 minutes and the scene with Marcus and Lennier kicked it up a letter grade for good character development.

Absolutely fucking flooring. The problem with many sci-fi shows is that space battles lack consequences. The tremendous build up and reality of the situation made it such that when Earthforce vessels began firing on Earthforce vessels... it wasn't exciting, it wasn't intense, it was fucking...

I absolutely loved the cinematography of a near riot going on during Sheridan's announcement of martial law. Brilliantly contrived, and Lady Morella's words will continue to stir in my mind for the rest of the series.
