    Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Columbine happened a few days before "Earshot" was scheduled to air. It's still one of my favourite episodes.

    Matt Smith Dr Who

I was indeed referring to "The Pandorica Opens". I actually was underwhelmed with "Vincent and the Doctor". I liked it, but it wasn't the best. Agreed, RTD got served. ... What's Steven Fry's BAFTA speech?

    Matt Smith Dr Who

Space, Canada's Syfy equivalent is showing Doctor Who, at the same time as the Americans. However, I lack patience. BTW, the latest episode ... Wow. That was obscenely awesome.

    Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Xander gives off a jealous vibe in their clashes and occassionally comes dangerously close to calling Buffy a whore. It's very off-putting, and there've been a few times that I'm surprised he wasn't given a harsher slapdown.

    Buffy the Vampire Slayer

I actually kinda liked the movie. It was bad, but amusingly bad. Peewee Herman as a vampire? Luke Perry as proto-Xander? Donald Sutherland? I enjoyed it.

    Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Speaking of N'Grath, did you enjoy his cameo as a bug woman that wanted to eat Xander? Same puppet. Buffy remains one of my all-time favourite series, though I admit the first season was rocky. Season 6 was horrible with only a few bright spots.

    Matt Smith Dr Who

Have to agree, after the second and third episodes I was starting to worry about Moffat's abilities as a showrunner, but every season has had some weak episodes. "The Time of Angels" was really good, hopefully that'll sustain through the rest of the season.

    Matt Smith Dr Who

I was making jokes about the Daleks "coming out of the closet". ... Aside from the premiere, I've been underwhelmed this season, neither "The Beast Below" or "Victory of the Daleks" have really impressed me. And ironically, I think it's the writing that has been the weak link, I like Amy and...

    Star Trek Online

Yeah, I'd love to try the beta ... if for no other reason than as much as I want to play the game, I avoid paying subscriptions.

Doctor Who: The End of Time (You have been Warned)

On first viewing, I was underwhelmed. The blatant Star Wars rip-offs, overlong ending, Martha and Mickey (WTF!?!), it felt overdone. But, second time through, I liked it more. Got more into the character moments. Overall, it wasn't the best sent off for Tennant, but it was good enough. I did...

Doctor Who: The End of Time (You have been Warned)

To be specific, I'm strictly discussing the specials since "Journey's End", and it's not the best sampling. I loved "The Next Doctor", but the ending was rushed and the villian wasn't given quite enough weight. I loved the first half, though, and Morrissey was brilliant. "Planet of the Dead" ...

Doctor Who: The End of Time (You have been Warned)

I thought it was a little ridiculous. I mean, I liked several parts of it, but others had me wondering if RTD's main plan was a whole episode to set up for a dumb pun. That said, one thing RTD does really well is great conversations. Several of the scenes between the Doctor and Wilf, and the...

    Avatar

.... Honestly, I found the CGI more impressive than the 3D. There just seemed to be two settings, front and back, some of the images lacked depth. However, the CGI was gorgeous. I loved Pandora, between the X-Wing dragons and the hammerhead rhinos, and the bioluminescent forests. It seemed very...

Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars

After the boring "Planet of the Dead", this was a pleasure to watch. The crew of Bowie Base One were better cast and not as thin as the stock passengers on the other episode. Loved the new Companion. I'll admit, the ending was surprising ... but I half expected it to go darker and that Yuri had...
