    RIP John Hughes

Can't believe nobody has posted this here yet. John Hughes, who made so many legendary movies in the 80s, passed away yesterday at only 59. I think he is a big part of how the 80s felt and what the 80s were. He was one of the first writers to really connect with the young, angsty, teenage...

Wow, original cast members in a sequel/reboot this many years afterwords? That almost never happens! Good news though.

Burn Notice: A show you aren't watching but should be.

True, not exactly low key for a spy huh? Sam can probably get away with it but Michael should be a little more low profile. Like a Hyundai or something. Then again, it is Miami. There are tons of people with crazy cars there...

Burn Notice: A show you aren't watching but should be.

Yogurt. They find a way to work Yogurt into every episode. Check it out next week, you will see it at some point... Also, and this isn't as much of a little small thing they do, but they do seem to enjoy classic cars in this show. Every few episodes someone has a different car. I'm really...

Burn Notice: A show you aren't watching but should be.

I didn't know that, but that will be awesome! Speaking of little in-jokes, this one goes to GKE.... So, did you happen to notice the little Easter Egg that they work into every episode yet?

    Star Trek (SPOILERS)

Returning to this thread finally. Glad to see Markas saw this and had a similar opinion. Ignore the plot, enjoy the movie. I also wanted to add I also thought the role of George Kirk was played perfectly and cast perfectly as well. Not only for capturing the "bravado" as you put it of a...

Burn Notice: A show you aren't watching but should be.

Finally caught the Season 3 premier tonight. Yea the above pretty much sums up my feeling for the show. Its fun and entertaining. I also like the "McGyver" aspect of it as you mentioned, and his narrations at how to handle situations is pretty cool. Its funny you mentioned the comment about...

    RIP David Carradine

Not sure if discomfort is the right word. Grossed out at the mental picture that article gave me. I hope that is not true and just a rumor... You are right Markas...he was a fascinating individual to be sure.

    RIP David Carradine

Depression is a different story to me. Don't disagree there. Suicide can sometimes be the end result of it. I just don't think that from a dictionary standpoint the word tragic applies to depression or suicide. I think I need to pull out my thesaurus to see what word better fits them. :)...

    RIP David Carradine

Tragic? Sorry, but there is nothing tragic about suicide. Tragic is when a just-married couple gets killed in a car accident because of a drunk driver running a red light. Tragic is a 5-year-old accidentally gunned down in a shootout. Suicide has never struck me as tragic.

    RIP David Carradine

Wow. Well he was 72, when I read this headline I just sort of assumed that he passed on due to natural causes. Suicide? At that age? Really? Makes pretty much no sense to me at all.

    Terminator Judgment Day

No, not really. But if this was going to be the last movie, it would have been nice to see some closure to the franchise. Perhaps they are going to make yet another sequel though if this does well. The only action franchise that I can remember that ended with some closure was The Matrix, but...

    Terminator Judgment Day

I read an article about Christian Bale whining about his role in the movie, no not that article about him going off on a lighting guy who wandered on set, but another article. He felt that his role (John Connor) was far far too small given (a) his importance as an actor and (b) John Connors...

    Terminator Judgment Day

OK, So I just saw this movie today. Honestly, Alluveal, while I haven't always had exactly the same thoughts as you on movies and such, usually I am in the same ballpark you are in. But this time I really have to wonder...did you and I see the same movie?!?!? It wasn't the best movie ever...

    V

I haven't been able to confirm that Kenneth Johnson is involved. He was trying to get a miniseries or movie based on his book "V: The Next Generation" which is clearly more of a screenplay converted to a book. So apparently he was unsuccessful and just wanted to get it out there. His book was...

    V

Yes to both. She was in the last Season of SG1, and the movie Ark of Truth that took place shortly after that last season. She was good in the show, acting wise, but the show had long since jumped the shark story wise.

    V

Ive got mixed feelings on this. First off, I LOVED the original Miniseries V. Extremely well done. Definitely played up the pre-World War II politics, among other things. Casting was good, writing was better. Im concerned naturally that this remake wont at all live up to the original. That...

    LOST Casting Spoiler

I was originally thinking Richard was an old old Egyptian...but Captain of the Black Rock would be an interesting twist as well.
