The shots of the actors WILL look very clean. That's because the film media used back in the day translates extremely well to HD. A lot of old movies are easily ported to HD as the detail and quality are already there. Special effects on the other hand...require being redone completely.

You can easily tell by shots of the Enterprise and often of planets. If it looks like CGI done better than B5, its the remastered version. If it looks like something made, well, in the 60s with a model hanging in front of a camera, it isnt. :)

Whoever said Byron was SUPPOSED to be popular? Maybe he was received by fans just as he was meant to be. An oddly annoying, poetic, cultist, hippie. I think the actor nailed the role very well, and it came off exactly as it should. We weren't supposed to like Byron. If anything, we were...

Are they the original TOS releases or the remastered in HD versions?

Oddly enough I never even tuned into this. Perhaps Ill catch up with it after Season 1 ends and I can get it on Netflix or on the Internet or something.

For me it was Cartagia, but Neroon was a close second. Cartagia was a perfect example of the right role and the right actor coming together. It was perfection, and so much fun (and unsettling at times) to watch.

Having seen all three seasons, I can confirm this to be true. Seasons one and two were fantastic. Three fell flat. Instead of a season long mystery/arc they split the [shortened] season up into two smaller arcs, and neither of them were very well done IMO. It was still OK, but nothing...

Three movies? That's ambitious...especially if the first one bombs. Then its not likely there will be others. I also heard they wanted to rename it to just "The Last Airbender" (Taking the Avatar part out of the name) since Avatar by James Cameron is ripping it up all over the world. I guess...

That's cause the first few seasons were on Showtime before it moved to Sci-Fi Channel. They could get away with that shit. Hell, it was expected.

Agreed, but the rest of the film was absolute drivel. Had such a promising premise and fell flat in almost every aspect. Ironically I remember the first time in the TNG series when they had the Enterprise D fire its weaponry. The way the Phasers lit up and fired across the arc of its bank...
