The Complete Bablylon 5

Did anyone else here get any of the new Babylon 5 card set that just came out? The set was entitled The Complete Babylon 5 and includes 120 base cards (one for each episode essentially) and several insert sets. What is really cool is that there are randomly inserted autograph and uniform cards in the set. I've only opened one box (of the two I bought) so far and have gotten autographs of Michael O'Hare and Jason Carter. If anyone else got these cards maybe we can arrange to trade to complete our sets?

I didn't get mine directly from Rittenhouse. I ordered mine from a dealer (they buy in bulk, and it was something like 50 bucks cheaper WITH the binder than if I ordered it direct). It's on its way here now, and I'll post my thoughts after it arrives.

Do an eBay search for: The Complete Babylon 5. At last look there were still boxes being auctioned off. Don't know how long that will last as the print run was limited to 6000 boxes.

I got mine today ... The box was not collated very well ... I didn't get a complete base set - in fact, of the 120 card base set, I'm missing 48 cards. I'm also missing the costume card and one of the two autographs (I ended up with Blaire Baron).

I talked with Rittenhouse about it, and they're going to get it fixed for me /ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif ...

To put it in perspective, you have 40 packs, and each pack has 9 cards in it. That's 360 cards. Pretty good odds for getting a complete set. Wrong-o ... There are about 3-4 cards from each season that I ended up getting between 18-20 copies of each card ... with all the special cards and everything else in the box, there was just no way.

Fortunately, they're making it right, and I should have a complete set and the things I'm missing shortly.

I also bought the binder with the Susan Ivanova costume card.... ended up being a total of $104 for the box and binder and everything ... and these are nice cards too!

Cool, if you have any interest in trading duplicates let me know. I have plenty to trade. I am especially looking for some of the Women of B5 inserts.

I got mine through Ed Webb, the owner of a company called SciFi Cards ... The pricing is:

Base sets (120 cards) $25.00
Sealed Box (40 packs): $70.00
Binders (with promo and Ivanova costume card): $38.00
Base set with Binder: $59.00
Sealed Box with Binder: $104.00
Mini-Master Set (see below): $163.00
Mini-Master Set with Binder $197.00
Mini-Master Set with Binder and all Costume Cards: $322.00
Mini-Master Set with Binder, Costume Cards, and JMS Case Card: $522.00

I bought a box and binder, and it was about 20 or 25 bucks cheaper doing it through him than directly through Rittenhouse.

You can contact him here:

You may be able to find it a couple bucks cheaper on ebay, but I will tell you something .... I've had such great customer service from Mr. Webb that I would recommend him with no hesitation at all, and I'd say the extra buck or two is worth it.

I bought mine from a dealer on the net called Digital Heroes.

So, I just received an entire set of this card collection and need something to put them in. I haven't collected cards since that TNG game came out many years ago.

Do you guys get those plastic boxes that holds a stack of cards or the plastic sleeves that you put in three ring binders? Any ideas where to buy stuff or should I just stop by my local comic store?

How many cards make up a complete set? 110? One for each episode? I am too lazy to count them all. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I see PSIFIMOGAL is selling the entire Season 1 scripts on Ebay. The current low price suggests that there are not many rich fans bidding. Or the recession is much bigger than the government admits.

I store all my B5 and baseball cards in the 9 pocket plastic sheets and then store those in a three ring binder.

There was 110 cards in the base set. There were also several "insert" sets commemorating the movies, etc.
