StarFury Explosion Animation

I did a small test animation today about StarFury's (Babylon 5 Tv show) explosion from laser blast. I tested some new effects I have not used many times before, and tried to combine them. It is not very "realistic", but it is cool, and that is where I aimed it. It uses MPEG4 v2 Codec, has resolution of 480x360, and file size is 1.39Mb. File has no sound.

It can be found here:

I would like to hear your opinions.

Excellent animation! How did you do it? Because it sure looked good. Realism? The flight was very realistic. As for the explosion, one can always imagine it was hit by a Shadow vessel.

Um...why do I get a message saying I lack the hardware to play it?

I would suspect that your computer has no decoder for the MPEG 4 codec. I assume that on most machines, a software DivX decoder might help. One variety should be freely available at http://www.divx.com/divx. Unforunately I'm not well acquainted with such matters. Hardware requirements may still interfere, and there may be better players available. Corrections are welcome.

Or if you have a reasonable connection get the Nimo44 codec pack. It's about 5.1megs in size and contains the required video codecs and the Fraunhofer audio codec. I think it has some tools like Flask that you'd probably not use. /ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif
