As far as Harlan's presence/influence, he's not just a "consultant". He and JMS are friends. So, if at all possible, he'll be part of the show. All things considered, even if Skiffy doesn't budget for him, He might still say things to JMS that influence the show.
"Intersections in Real Time" for me, is an Uncomfortable episode. Not because of the odd format. It's the subject matter.
How many people here can honestly say they are 100% SURE they wouldn't have ended up Signing?
It has the same fascination as watching a car wreck. You (at least I didn't) keep wanting to turn it off. What is happening is painful to watch. But, at the same time, there is a sort of odd Fascination with the process.
I've seen it 3 or 4 times now. It still makes me uncomfortable. But, since that was exactly what JMS intended, I'd have to say it was a Good episode. It succeeded in its objectives.
