ForeShadowing... ain\'t it a proper word for this series

I went through a few episodes this weekend and not an episode goes by that i don't see something foreshadow something 2 years later. That would be a great drinking game.

You're right.

It's no accident that Mr. Morden always seemed to be accompanied by Four Shadows.

There are a few drinking games out there based on Babylon 5. Run it through any search engine.

Never tried them myself, though my friends did once - it heard it was interesting.

Re: ForeShadowing... ain\'t it a proper word for this series

just watched b squared and a heavy dose of foreshadowing was unleashed at the end of it when ivanova says, "next i'm going and garibaldi is staying behind." Whenever i see something like that i have to yell out foreShadow. It's a thing i do. Does anyone else have any rituals when they watch b5?

I get this every time I rewatch B5, it gets worse (and threfore better each time)

Does reciting the opening sequence voice overs at the start of each episode count... or is that just too commonplace to count??

Ever since I noticed how many actors reappear in different roles, and how people like Steve Furst and Goran Gajic have directed, I've actually taken the time to pay attention to the credits... and I squeal when I recognise someone

Every time Sheridan gives a speech--drink!

We have a few rituals. I like to recite along with the words too.

But we have this habit of speaking in Koshisms, even when we're not watching B5!

Rituals? May I suggest doing the Official Vorlon Vir Wave?

That's what made this show great. The saga that told a great story. Each episode affected another in one way. It was great. I was hoping to see more from Crusade, and I hope to see a lot more from LotR. One can only hope.

I was hauling dandilions out of the lawn to-day when a couple of neighbors stopped to commiserate with me.
When I said "I don't know in Valens name where they all come from"
She knew what I was talking about, he did not.
I could hear her explaining to him as they walked away "You know, that show with Londo and G'Kar and Bruce what's his name"

Re: ForeShadowing... ain\'t it a proper word for this series

One of the things that I almost always do is recite the opening lines of each season along with the characters when I watch an episode. The only season I really can't do that with is season 5 because too many of the lines run together. But I have the opening lines from each of the first four seasons memorized, and I quote them word for word when they play the opening music.

i do the koshisms too (only when i'm watching the show). The lines are pretty easy to remember which makes it nice.

"Yes"
"Good"
"Jump, jump now"
"i have always been here"
"if you go to zahadum, you will die"

I sorta expect him to one day say "excellent" like mr. burns in the simpsons.
