Yeah, that's the story I heard. I'm pretty sure JMS talked about it on one of the commentaries.

I think there's at least a bit of that story in the commentaries or special features on the DVD, because I recall hearing it verbally, and the DVD are the only place I would've "heard" rather than read it.

I haven't seen the commentaries for the DVDs I have bought, so it easily could be on any of them.

Perhaps another conversion idea is to just show the leaders of season 1 to 5 (or just 1-3). It shows quite clearly that the series is changing. From the optimistic S1 leader, to the sligtly edgier S2 leader followed by the "OMG we are doomed" S3 leader. Mr Franke set the mood really well with his music.

Perhaps it is not smart to show the visuals of the leader because they show some spoilers. But just the audio should do the trick
