And to think...

And to think that we were just suppose to escort a bunch of diplomats to a meeting on Beta-Durani 7! Jeesh! Yeah, right...

What next!

"I am parking my message post right here, and I'm not leaving...until someone tells me what the hell is happening here!"

(As Kitaro bursts out hysterically, echoing off into the distance...)

Hey captain...gotta any ideas now? I'm not sure that the grenade senerio will work out this time...but, who knows?

Cheers! -Warren-

Howdy there, Warren. My only real regret about the movie was that it could not have been much, much longer! I wish you had the time to go into all of the characters much more. But that’s what a “Rangers” series will do when the Sci-Fi channel gives the go-ahead for it.

Our thoughts shape the universe. But my thoughts don’t transfer to executives very well, so I decided to write a couple of letters instead! Here’s hoping.

I like the idea of writing Warner Brothers. Does anyone know the address? And writing to the sponsors. I can crank out lots of letters now that I have one saved to disk. I just hope I don’t make the mistake I did letter-writing for “Crusade”. I think I told the Campbell soup company that I truly admired their programming choices or something.

They were cool about it. They even sent me some nice coupons!

I see that Joe D. has already posted a thread on the Sponsors of "Rangers". So no one need bother reposting that info. here. It's a pretty extensive list.

Once again...thank you for all your support and enthusiasm for 'Babylon 5:The Legend of the Rangers'...

It is so fantastic how you all feel about the show...and the possible series!

Hypatia,

Unfortunately, I don't have the pertinent addressess or individuals to write in regards to your concerns and support for the show at Warner Bros.

I am sure that someone will read this thread and provide you with the necessary information! They always do!

Here is to some fantastic news in the next few days!

Cheers! -Warren-

Joe D already posted a very extensive list of the sponsors on this thread:
Rangers Sponsors

He's said that writing to Warner Brothers wouldn't hurt but probably wouldn't help since they already want to do the series.

Joe D makes, methinks! I'm going to have to get another book of stamps just to mail to half the companies on his list.

Warren,

There is a good reason that many of us are pulling so hard for this. We dont want to be robbed a second time! I dont think I can handle yet another JMS attempt where we see groundwork for a potentially GREAT story, only to be denied at the last minute. We are with you all!

Warren -- whatever happens, you & "the gang" will always have a place here on this board. I'm confident that only good will come of this situation. If any show has ever proven to be a fighter & survivor, it's Babylon 5!

Warren,

I loved that line in the movie where Kitaro says that he's parking the ship right where it was until someone told him what was going on. It was great!

For me, his best quote was "I'm just glad to be here!". Am I alone to think it's kinda Warren himself that say that ?

When I said my quarters were cold, I did not mean "Oh, I think it is a little chilly in here. Perhaps I'll throw a blanket on the bed." No! I said it was cold! As in, "Oh look - my left arm has snapped off like an icicle and shattered on the floor!"

GaribaldiHairs,

Yeah, I guess you probably could say that sounds very "Warren-like".

I admit that was a funny scene. But did it make much sense? He has a crewmember who is dying and in serious need of an advanced medical facility.

Besides, with the way the Liandra took off, what if he couldn’t start those engines up again? (I did notice the effects that indicated he did just what he said, and parked the ship. It sounded like he powered something down, too.)

Anyhow, it was one of his best lines, but I wonder how much it made sense. He delivered it perfectly, though. And as I’ve said, I just wish the movie could have been longer so we could have gotten into the characters more. But that’s not possible in a 2-hour time frame. Especially if “more action” was what they were going for.

Yes Warren, you had some great lines in the movie! I liked it when Kitaro talked about how difficult it would be to fly into a comet, but then said something like, "But yeah, I could do it!"

I am also sick of the lost opportunities where the B5 universe is concerned, so I will also be writing to the sponsors. My letter to Bonnie Hammer is going out today.

Mine, too, Gkarfan. I also sent one to Tom Olson, and will send some sponsor ones out once I a) double check my tape and see who actually were the sponsors on my cable and b) get more stamps!

This pilot definitely made me like all of the characters right away. And I think JMS has a disadvantage with his style of writing: so much DOES depend on what he is building up to later. Hard to do much of that in one move-of-the-week.

Anyhow, it's worth fighting for a series.

I'm coming in on the thread a bit late, because I've been busy mailing my letter to the Sci-Fi Channel...
smile.gif

And if you're one of those people that think the characters couldn't exist in the "real world," this week I was:

1) Belted by a rival at racquetball,
2) Told my boss I was "really glad to be there,"
3) Asked to do something at work that was *almost* out of my skill level, but really rocked at it anyway,
and, the kicker is...
4) Yesterday I refused to leave the mall parking lot until someone in the car told me what was happening in a certain situation (not involving grenades; involving boyfriends).

Hmm.

It seems that the B5 Universe and synchronicity have a great deal in common.

It was funny, because I realized what I said in the car, and immediately made the other connections directly afterwards.

You should have heard me laughing (and I think there was a bit of head-banging-against-the-wall, too!)
