I know, my point is how do they navigate? How do they get to new planets? If they travel in hyperspace, which they must do, there must be a way of getting around without beacons. In which case, destroying a systems jump gate does not render it inaccessible for the rest of time.

OK then. So what about Explorer class ships like the Cortez (A Distant Star). They build new jump gates when they discover interesting worlds. How do they get to those worlds in the first place? Surely they don't travel via normal space? So, there must be a way of navigating hyperspace...

I did wonder this myself, but then how do you get a new gate to a previously non-gate world? Additionally, ships with jump engines seem to easily get to worlds that have no jump gate, e.g. (unless I'm very much mistaken) Zha'ha'dum? There must be other ways of navigating without using man made...

I'm sure there's a very good reason, but why would it not be possible for a ship with jump engines to jump to the Markab world after the gate was destroyed?

Well I for one hope that the show does go on, it just seemed worrying, but them as I said, I don't know much about the US TV network system! :)

I haven't followed any behind the scenes info on Jeremiah, but surely the fact that it only has, what, 13 episodes in S2 rather than a full 24 or so can't be a good sign of confidence from the channel who funds it?

I noticed no distortion in CoS, so it can't be that bad. The cropping is annoying in places, but it's not common enough to be completely outrageous.

I coulnd't get past a whole episode of Firefly. Mind you, it's not as bad as Mutant X! Oh, and I don't like Buffy or Angel either. Bring back Farscape! :)

Does the R2 version have the strange font that the R1 version has? Different to S1, and different to the closing credits?

The bad cropping is in the R1 version. I don't recall seeing any distortion in CoS, so it can't have been that noticable.

Eh? Universal don't want the words "Miami Vice" to appear on a web site listing shows they'd like to see on DVD? That really make no sense to, well, anyone, quite frankly.

As much as I like Jeremiah, I'm glad Farscape got the award. It was a great show. And to get an award after Sci Fi cancelled the show only goes to show that Sci Fi really are a bunch of morons.
