Now that would be something to behold...
Rocky: "ADRIAN!!!!!!"
Rambo: "Adrian? What's that, some secret Al Qiada password? Tell me where the weapons of mass destruction are!!" :D
No I didn't know that - you learn something new every day. Makes morse sense that way if one thinks about it - but then we would not have had the joys of Rambo II and III, not to mention IV next year, if the rumours are true.
Who could forget Rambo killing loads and loads and loads of...
One of my personal faves is from the climax to Rambo, where Sly Stallone has a good cry and rage to his old CO about why he was forced to defend himself, and his delivery is so completely and utterly INCOMPREHENSIBLE that it always has me rolling around the floor in fits of laughter.
It...
'Cause And Effect' from Season 5 of TNG is one of his, and it is excellent! He also did Season 7's 'Parallels' with Worf moving from one alternate reality to another.
Not to mention co-writing TNG movie 'First Contact'.
Even some of his Voyager stuff was good, like 'Scorpion Pt 1'.
I'm even more impressed that he seems to be that rarity in the entertainment industry - someone who's managed to maintain an intact long term relationship - 18 years is a long time!
Good for you, George.
This was the first B5 episode I ever saw, and it so blew me away that I was converted at first sight. And the scene that clinched it for me? The one where G'Kar has his Dust enhanced vision and is informed by Kosh that some must be sacrificed so that all may be saved. It still sends a shiver up...
Finally saw Serenity on the weekend, and I gotta say I was very impressed. Wash's death blew me away, and it did feel that some of the others were also going to die at the end.
The only thing that distrubed me a bit was the emphasis on the Reavers. I could deal with them on the series because...
That sounds like a very good read - I have just finished watching 'The Lion in Winter' (with Patrick Stewart), and am ready to tackle early Norman history, especially as the Civil War led into the reign of Henry II and Eleanor of Aquataine.
I am growing more and more enthusiastic about...
One of my favourite B5 shows ever. What other show deals in such explicit terms about the nature of guilt, forgiveness, revenge and mercy?
Sheer beauty.
Re: HBO\'s Rome
According to the most accurate historical accounts, Caesar was a master at controlling his emotions, and not allowing his iron control to slip very often. This was especially true around women, whom he used and discarded at will.
Worst that I've seen - I hated the final episode of DS9 - what an anti-climax.
Best that I've seen - the final episode of Blake's 7 - bleak, depressing and true to the spirit of the show. SHocked the hell out of me first time I saw it.
