Jessica Simpson has been cast as Daisy Duke in the Dukes of Hazzard movie. Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott have been cast to play Luke and Bo Duke.

Let's just hope it's as funny as Scooby Doo!

The thing is if you are going to take a worthless pop star why Simpson over Brittney? Even though horse face may be more popular at the moment(I don't know) the original would seem to be born for the role..southern, body type, ect.

In my monthly pop culture update my sister provides me, she listed some recent covers by pop stars, including Brittney's version of a Bobby Brown song and Jessica Simpson doing Take My Breath Away.

A couple of years, regurgitation became quite popular. Now it seems like regurgitating utter crap as slightly newer crap is all the rage. "Camp" and "kitsch" are now the mainstream. I think it's all finally starting to devour itself.

Turn off ClearChannel and don't go see this movie, people! And at least, for Pete's sake, if you shell out for a Jessica Simpson movie and don't have a library card, don't vote and try to restrain your talking in public to a minimum. And whatever you do- don't breed! We don't need your kind participating in society. Thank you.

Who gives a * who plays the Duke boys? Inquiring minds want to know who's playing Boss Hog, Roscoe P. Coltrain, and Flash. Well maybe it's just me.

Why, oh why must they take good stories/shows and shoehorn Will Smith (playing his one character) into them? Answer: A lot of people will watch. I wish somebody would do a top quality remake of "Fiend Without a Face" (1958) using today's state-of-the-art CGI and no Will Smith. That has the potential to be a top-notch horror movie, if it was done right.

It's artistic laziness, IMHO. Simple artistic laziness. It's easier to remake something that proved profitable once.
