This business about rebranding, got me thinking. However, being in Britain with no access to satellite or cable at home, this doesn't directly affect me, so you can say I am tlaking nonsense if you wish.

I reckon Sci Fi maybe trying to benefit from the sudden interest in the fantasy genre. With Lord of the Rings being a success, and the prospect of the Narnia books being translated to film (or so I've heard), it would seem that fantasy is the current "in" genre, and there is aconncetion between the fandom of science fiction and fantasy, they are like distant cousins. Sci Fi maybe trying to boost there ratings by latching on more firmly to the current trend, in some ways this is sensible, but they should not burn their bridges or abandon their grass roots supporters.
