Very good point. As a matter of fact it would be logical that they would have taken it into space somewhere away from Z'Ha'Dum and destroyed it. Of course I don't think the Shadows would have cared much either way if people learned it was destroyed there or out in space away from there.

Sure, that's plausible, but this is about what Sheridan thought, not about what might have happened; and I don't see why he would have thought of the Icarus exploding in space for the reasons given here when he'd just been told that it had made it to the surface, and was not told that it took off again.

Suffice it to say: it makes sense to have "Shadow of Z'ha'dum" after "Knives."

Okay, got to this episode watching the revised order and it's pretty interesting. I still feel that the Sheridan plot could have been handled better. The Londo and Urdo plot, on the other hand, is brilliant. Vir and Londo singing is one of my favourite moments from the show. Londo realises that he might have made a mistake but rejects the chance to change.

On the earlier point about advanced civilisations having duels to the death etc, I tend to look at these things as being signs of Shadow involvement. The Lumati's view on evolution sounds like exactly the sort of thing the Shadows would like. As does the Drazi green - purple conflict.

Something I find interesting about dueling societies is the fact that they survive. You would think the Centauri Empire would have been wiped out many centuries ago because every offense ended in a duel. I would say this is more of a sign of Shadow influence on the Centauri than the Lumati social structure being a sign of Shadow influence, based on the reasons I gave in the ACTS OF SACRIFICE thread.
