Alex Zahara was having to post from an ordinary account rather than his actor's account that displays a black and white photograph.

Well, Alex did have a hotmail account before if I remember correctly and Ant had all sorts of problems with those accounts. I am almost certain that Alex no longer has that email account so it would be hard to verify simply by sending an email in the old account. Anyway, if Antony needed or wanted to verify he is who he says he is ... I am sure he could do so.
Besides, I haven't seen any reason -not- to believe that he is who he says he is. If it is some elaborate hoax well then ... I will be slightly embarassed that I was taken in.
