Robert Rusler (with one s, I think, which is why you couldn't find him in IMDB) played Warren Keffer.

He played Keffer, the pilot who went looking for shadows, right? And the one in the episode with all of the soldiers and the doctor's father who was the general?

I recognised the voice from somewhere - but he looked totally different. I didn't realise it was him at all.
