Re: Damn you JMS!

The long quoted post is something jms posted on rastb5m, which is a newsgroup. All his posts to the newsgroup are archived at jmsnews.com, however the archiving of a post occurs some amount of time after he posts the post to the newsgroup (though usually not too much time). As of yet, I don't see it up on the archive, so this is very fresh information coming straight off the newsgroup.

As for the website from which to order, that would be babylon5scripts.com , as mentioned toward the end of jms's post. This scripts website isn't up and running just yet though as it's still some time off before we'll be able to order the scripts.

After we finished the movie, but before we got the series going, WB
asked to see a breakdown on this five-year arc thingie. So I wrote a
six or seven page, single spaced outline of the ENTIRE FIVE YEARS with
Sinclair still in place. The document makes for fascinating reading
when compared with the series as it developed. NOT ONLY THAT, but the
same document has a brief outline for A POTENTIAL BABYLON 5 SEQUEL
SERIES, which would have been entitled BABYLON PRIME.
So I imagine any day now we'll start seeing all the apology posts. You know, the contrite posts here, on the newsgroup and elsewhere from all the people who personally attacked those of us who maintained it was obvious that Sinclair had been intended to be the main character for all five years. The people who called us liars, accused us of calling jms a liar, said we were stupid, couldn't read, and were just big ol' poopy-heads for not admitting that we were wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, WRONG in suggesting such a thing. We CAN expect those posts soon, right?

Just thought I'd ask.

Later,

Joe

Re: Damn you JMS!

Not from me you won't. I have always believe JMS when he said Sinclair was originally going to be it, but, he realized that the arc was too big for only one character.

I actually don't recall anyone here doubting this contention in the entire time I've been posting on this site.

Re: Damn you JMS!

Neither have I to be honest .. the only thing I've seen doubted in that sense is if Sinclair would have ended up together with Delenn or not / if Sinclair would have had an "own" story or if his story was mostly given on to Sheridan. I personally believed the second, but I guess we'll know soon enough

Re: Damn you JMS!

Joe,

I imagine you'll get that apology about the time JMS gets apologies from all the people who claimed there was no arc so don't hold your breath. Me, I only got online in '97 so I missed that part of the 'good old days'.

Re: Damn you JMS!

Ah, see that explains it. I wasn't actively online until Season 3 of B5, and only been posting here for a little over a year, and lurking for about a year before that.
