"Top of the world." and The Carpenters? Yeah, but with with a completely different emotional take on it, and Cagney had it first. Good grief, now I'm picturing Jimmy Cagney on top of a petrochemical tank singing like The Carpenters.  Shades of purple wombats singing showtunes.
Pesky carpenters also ties in with Lyta's "Them." which in her case should really be "Us."
