When will arrive the Trailer? | LotR - Excalibur

When will the comercial trailer of the Legend of the Rangers will be released?? Does anybody have any info??

Do you think that we will see the Excalibur in the Legend of the Rangers in the 2nd or 3rd season(if it has)?? Doesn't necessary has to have the cast of crusade.

LOL! Finished? It's barely started. (Production began on May 14th, to be exact.) They won't finish principle photography until sometime in June, and post production will almost certainly take them into late August or early September. So they won't have anything to make a trailer from until at least that late.

When such a trailer (more properly, "promo" since this is a TV movie and not a theatrical film) will air depends on when the movie does. I've heard rumors that October 2001 and January 2002 are among the dates that Sci-Fi is tossing around, but anything they're doing now is strictly preliminary planning. If there is no actors' strike and if they give Warner Bros. an order for the series based on the rough-cut of the film, they may decide to hold it until closer to the series premier date. There's no law that says they have to air the thing as soon as it is ready, or even this year.

Presumably we'll see the promos starting a couple of weeks before the movie airs - whenever that is. (And unless Sci-Fi makes it available as a download on thier website, I'm not entirely sure how Diego is going to get a copy. Is TV in Brazil NTSC or PAL?)

And personally, I don't think we'll see Exaclibur in Rangers much. If Rangers does well enough to make it to season 3 I think the odds are that Sci-Fi will commission a second series from JMS and we'll see Exaclibur where it belongs - on Crusade. (Of course, if that happens I wouldn't rule out the odd cross-over. )

Well smarty pants....anyone who was fortunate enough to be at the NWB5 gathering tonight got treated to a 2.5 minute trailer, as well as a sneak look at some scenes (although obviously no post production had been done)

Just thought Id rub that in.

Have you seen the teaser? It's as much of a non-event as Spiderman's teaser - just the movie title basically (I don't call that a teaser, I call it a waste)

Now if there was one for B5LR I'd download it!

Well, a few random scenes and no SFX do not a "trailer" make, IMHO, but I'm delighted to hear that the folks up there got a sneak peak. Am also happy to be "corrected" by someone who is actually on the scene. (But I still say that is more of a "teaser" than a "trailer" or "promo". )

I believe one of JMS posts said that HE'd taken some snapshots during the filming and that he was hoping to be able to post them.

JMS be just a growed up fanboy, just like us.
He understands these things.

The only thing that might stop him from posting stuff would be the Warner or Skiffy PR depts. If they say he can't do it, he won't.

I'm not quite clear about this so correct me if I am wrong. The series (if there is one) will be called Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers. However, the movie is called "To Live and Die in Starlight". If that's correct then we should be using TLaDiS when we discuss this movie.
