A self-contained world five miles long, located in neutral
territory. A place of commerce and diplomacy for a quarter
of a million humans and aliens. A shining beacon in space,
all alone in the night. It was the dawn of the third age of
mankind, the year the great war came upon us all. This is
the story of the last of the Babylon stations. The year is
2259: the name of the place is Babylon 5."

Sheridan: Are you trying to cheer me up?
Ivanova: No sir, wouldn't dream of it.
Sheridan: Good, I hate being cheered up.
Ivanova: In that case we're all going to die slow, agonizing deaths.
Sheridan: Thank you, I feel so much better now.

Else, you'll need a newsreader and a news erver. Outlook or Netscape will do as newsreaders, and most Internet Providers have news servers (look around in the support section on their webisite). There are also free news servers out there (register at http://news.cis.dfn.de/ or http://pubnews.netcom.net.uk/).Or you could use a web interface like http://www.newsranger.com/

Whatever way you access it, you need to subscribe to rec.arts.sf.tv.babylon5.moderated, and you're there.

And Antony, how about adding this to some sort of FAQ, or something. I suspect it will get asked more and more often as fans hear about the movie.
