I know Brandon was getting involved in a lot more - real world - things a year or so back, and had been only sporadically visiting the forum for a year or so before it went tits up. There was still a couple of visitors and mods kicking around when that happened, so I’m guessing he holds the admin keys needed to repair the problem.

Haven’t tried it personally. But if the PM system is still working, dropping a note to the likes of Washburn or one of the mods might be an idea. Though since none of them have fixed the problem, chances are they haven’t spoken to him for a while either.
 
I see from his linkedin account that he was promoted earlier this year. He's still posting on the Microsoft Developer boards so he's alive and well.
