You're right. This is a good film to watch. The CGI is fantastic and some of the best I've seen. I think it ranks up there with 'Avatar' as far as the effects go. Don't forget, this story was written over a hundred years ago.

Has anyone purchased the DVD yet? Just bought it at Hastings in Billings and got a surprise. Its in a cardboard holder with art work but its a DVD-R with "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" written in black felt pen. I guess Sony didn't made enough on the movie so they're cutting corners with...

Just saw Avatar today, in 3D. Absolutely great. I recognized some of Dune, Star Trek: DS9, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars. But I also saw an underlying story about Native Americans. What are YOUR views?

I don't understand the change in Lockley's military rank. She was previously a Captain (military pay grade O-6), as in the Navy, and now she's a Colonel (military pay grade also O-6). So she's now in the Army? Somebody clear up this dichotomy for me, please.

Re: Thanks for the replies I just went on Amazon.co.uk and they have the book. At least they say its available for 6.50 UK Pounds. It also says it was published on 20 Sep 2006. Could it be that Del Rey has reissued it? Lets hope so.

I missed the first two episodes of 'Jericho' when it first appeared on CBS. However I found all the episodes to date on www.cbs.com/innertube and I think they're very good. What do you think?

I just received all of Blake's 7 on DVD that I picked up on Ebay. There are 26 DVDs with 2 eps on each disk and they're Region One. Paid $100 plus shipping for them. They were put out by BFS Video, a Canadian company. You might try emailing them to see if they're still available.

Of the three new series on network TV (Surface, Invasion, & Threshold), which one do you like most? Of the Pilots, Surface was the winner IMO. But I'll continue watching to see what happens.

Thanks Darth, the cafepress one is not what I was looking for but the ebay one is it. Its a bit pricey but the only one I've seen.
