Wow. If that was JMS's original plan... it's a textbook case of why we writers rewrite. That outline is like something I might have cooked up when I was 17.

Carnivale was indeed great, which is why I'm happy it ended the way it did; I heard rumors about what they were going to do in Season 3, and if they'd gone through with it, it would have ruined it...
