De-lurking to say that I am currently in the middle of The River of Doubt by Candice Millard. It is about how Teddy Roosevelt made a trip down an uncharted tributary of the amazon after loosing the 1912 election. I'm not entirely sure if I like this. Probably because I am only about a third...
Well, like a lot of people in power, Adama values loyalty. His relationship with both Tigh and Thrace bear this out. While Apollo may have had command experience over Helo, he wasn't going to shove him to the side. Helo stuck with Adama over their year in orbit. True, that might have had...
Lucky. I'm going to have to wait until the DVDs come out to see season 4. I don't get HBO. Well, really, I don't even have cable.
So what do you think? Do you think somebody would actually try Colvin's solution? It's not a clean answer, by any means. But it wold be interesting to see...
Eh, look at Lee's promotion to commander as a brevet. He returned to his previous post when the need for his promotion dissappeared....or blew up in this case. It's like a battle field promotion that is rescinded once the hostilities are over.
This is TV at it's finest. It is a police show, but not a procedural at all. It shows that the good and bad guys aren't who you think. When was the last time you saw a show where the two most likeable characters were a crackfiend (Bubs) and a shotgun-totting homothug (Omar, in his own words)...
In regards to Baltar and Chip-Six, this brings up my only complaint about the show. I was listening to the podcasts that they put out when Moore taped a series of writers meetings. The time frame they were discussing was the last few episodes from season two, in and around Scar. They talked a...
If I am remembering right, there was an off hand remark made that Zarek was the vice president in the first episode. Either that or I am going nuts......one of the two.
With the exception of the first episodes with the Pegasus, they've always used a score with a celtic hint to it.
I think these episodes did a great job of setting up the rest of the season. Starbuck having to deal with the incredible mind fuck she has just been dealt, Tigh having to live...
Technically, it DID air on NBC. If I am remembering right, they aired the mini series around the time season one started airing on SciFi. However, it was shown on a Saturday afternoon. So it really wasn't anything more than an afterthought to them.
I just finished License to Kill by Robert Young Pelton. It is about the rise of corporate security firms lke HART, Blackwater, Executive Outcomes, Sandline and Aegis. I can't recommend it enough.
Re: The \"Sci-Fi\" Channel, Really???
Well, it may be a bit of a stretch but Richard Belzer's character John Munch started on Homicide. While doing that show, he did a couple of crossover appearances. One of which was on the X-Files. So this means that the Law and Order universe is the same...
