I think it's because they keep trying to get things PERFECT, when there IS no "perfect" person... It's the little imperfections on people that make them unique. They keep trying to make CGI stuff smooth and shiny and that's a clear tipoff that it's CGI. However it's getting to the point now...

Hardly. Those characters looked "ok" because the rest of them were CGI as well. Stick one of those next to a actual human and they stick out like a sore thumb. I'd rather (if they HAD to), just replace the character of Franklin with another actor. No one can live up to Richard's version, but...
