*eh* That's not much in my book. If you go over each ep with a fine tooth comb you can generally find *something*. Not enough for me.

The story is fine, it does help make B5 seem more real, etc. But I don't see any real character development, nor any subplot that helps a larger story arc - the reasons why I like B5 so much. I gave it a C. At least it didn't suck like "Grey 17 is missing" or "Infection".

I think I'm with Gkar's eye on this one. I liked his post. Sheridan had to go to Z'ha'dum. It was his chance to hurt the shadows, and badly. The chance to walk into the capital of the Shadows and nuke it? Too good to turn down, if you are willing to sacrifice your life for it.

I like this episode because I thought it dealt with Garibaldi's alchoholism rather seriously. Perhaps it "sings" to me a bit more because my wife had her own bout with alcoholism, and has had to come to terms with addictive/self-destructive behaviors (she's been getting much better over the...

B- (voted C) Ivanova moment - very sad. Good stuff. Important story arc for Londo. Nothing outstandingly noteable, to me, I guess.

B- Best part of the ep. I have a feeling it would be a better ep, except with Talia being "trapdoored" later it kind of makes this episode halfway pointless. An aborted story arc here that, perhaps, could have been better.

C. Average ep. I see why it was there, it established things about the Centauri, Home Guard, etc - story building & establishment. The only notable line is the one about Londo's shoes.

Agreed. Agreed. I liked the concept - the struggle between religion and science, and the consequences. There is no easy answer presented, and no easy cop-out. This is the first ep where you see B5 is not just "another sci-fi show". I remember this ep from when I first saw the first 2...

No movie or TV show has ever made me cry. A couple of really good tragic fantasy books came close (at least, they left me depressed for several hours or almost teary-eyed). "Grave of the Fireflies" is the one movie that came as close to books. EXCEPT B5's SIL. I didn't cry very much, but...
